The diagnosis carried out in the department of Diourbel in terms of education highlighted the following difficulties: problems linked to access, problems linked to improving quality, problems linked to transparent governance, problems linked to the child’s environment.
Sustainably improving education for poor and vulnerable people in the Department of Diourbel
The direct beneficiaries are 1,593 pupils of primary schools from 14 villages in 4 communes in the Diourbel region. The pupils are boys and girls aged between 6 and 12. Teachers in the target communes, residents of the target villages and the men and women on the school management committees are also benefiting.
The total budget is set at € 1 000 000 for the period 2024 to 2028.
The project is financed by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade (80%) and by the beneficiaries (5%). The remaining 15% is to be financed by CPS through donations.
