Partner Organisations

Our partners are primarily the NGOs of the Groupe Education au Développement (GEDEV) but also other certified NGOs or associations.

School teachers are considered as partners as well. Planning and implementation of the intervention sessions ideally take place in close collaboration.

Context

CPS has implemented several annual awareness-raising projects since 2007, co-funded by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. In 2016, we started to orient our work more towards development education. In the years 2017 and 2018, we added North-South interdependency aspects as well as proposals for individual action. We want to continue in this direction, relying on the 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Objective

The general public and students learn about development issues, North-South interdependencies and paths for action in order to become more responsible citizens

• Workshops on different thematic issues of integrated rural development:
  • Rural development – secondary education
  • Education for all – primary and secondary education
  • Water – primary and secondary education
• Joint workshop “Our world, our dignity, our future”
• Joint workshop Fantastic Food
• Forum Theatre

Activities for the general public

• Phase 2 of the awareness-raising campaign on the 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals
• Opening of the Semaine de l’Education au Développement Durable
• Marche gourmande alternative, as part of the Semaine de l’Education au Développement Durable
• 10th edition of the festival Cinéma du Sud

Target audience

Target audiences are students on the one hand and the general public in Luxembourg on the other.

Budget

The total budget is set at € 44 864,65 for the year 2019.

Funding

The project is funded up to 75% by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.
